Erick "E-Dog" Lindgren was
involved in an absolutely insane golf prop bet that took place
recently. Erick put $340,000 on the line against Gavin Smith and
Phil Ivey among others, that he could: A. Play four rounds of
golf in a single day B. While carrying his own clubs for all
four rounds C. While playing from the back tees, and D. He had
to shoot under 100 in each round. And all of this in the Las
Vegas heat!
Erick was on the course at 5:45am ready go. He coasted through
the first two rounds shooting an 86 and an 84. Round three
started out rough, but he pulled through and ended up breezing
through that one as well. He struggled a little bit in the la st
round as well but he was able to pull it out. By the time all
was said and done the sun was going down,
he'd played for about 14 hours and he'd walked over 20 miles.
Pure heart. One thing is for sure, he was definitely feeling it
the next day.
These guys make some insane prop bets that make for some very
entertaining stuff. The golf course is no longer a place to
relax and enjoy the game, it's a place of long hours, large
wagers and bad shots. Keep an eye out, I'm sure there's more to
come. |
